TERM 4 Performance Song

Room 5 have been learning about COMMUNICATION this term. We investigated drama, dance, and song throughout the term and decided to perform INTERPRETIVE DANCE. The class worked in their mini groups to come up with a routine for the song WORLDS GREATEST, and then a whole class performance for DO THEY KNOW ITS CHRISTMAS TIME. It was fantastic to see the students work together and produce a fun and entertaining interpretive dance.
Enjoy

TAHU

We were lucky enough to have Tahu and her friends from the Ecosanctuary visit us this week. She was full of energy and we re-enacted a maori myth that she narrated. Fun times!!!

Interpretive Dance

Room 5 have been looking at Drama activities to explore the many different ways to communicate. At this point of our unit we have ventured down the road of' 'Interpretive Dance'. The pupils are to find a song of their choice and create a mime dance to a verse and the chorus. They performed in front of the class their dance hoping that their classmates can guess the song. So far Alex and Sarah have met some success. Videos to follow

Rock Climbing at Long Beach

Room 5 had a stunning day at Long Beach for our rock climbing session. All the students should be proud of the way they helped and encouraged each other as well as conquering the rock!
